Substance use can affect housing stability, increase vulnerability, and sometimes contribute to conflict or safeguarding concerns. This practical course gives frontline staff the skills and confidence to respond to alcohol-related risks in a way that’s proportionate, non-stigmatising, and trauma-informed.

- Identify and assess alcohol-related risks in supported housing and outreach.
- Explore common misconceptions and stigma around alcohol dependency.
- Use harm reduction, brief intervention and safeguarding tools with confidence.
- Understand how to document and manage risk while preserving trust and engagement.
