Seeing the whole picture across complex services
Fiona’s work has taken her from frontline services to director-level leadership, across domestic abuse, substance use, safeguarding, mental health, homelessness, criminal justice and complex needs. That range is not presented as a list of separate subjects. It is what allows her to see the connections between them.
She understands how trauma affects behaviour, how coercive control creates entrapment, how substance use can become a survival response, and how organisational pressure can narrow professional thinking. She also understands that compassion without boundaries is unsafe, and accountability without context rarely creates change.
